Nominated for 2008 Phoenix Award - Chosen as one of only 10 companies
in the country for such an honor.
On
October 6th, 2006 Paragon was called to restore a 1924 Italian
Renaissance two story brick home located in a historical area of
University City Missouri. The home had sustained severe fire damage
to the exterior and the interior. The fire burned the deck and rear
Bonus Room completely off of the main structure. The fire then crept
up the rear of the home and through the original slate roof.
The project began in
November, 2006 and was completed in November, 2007. The difficult
thing about this particular fire was that at the request of the
insured we were asked to restore the home as close to the original
state as possible. There were a few modern upgrades added but for the
most part we were able to grant her wishes.
We went to great lengths
to achieve this goal.
The entire interior was a
full gut to framing. We had to rewire, re-plumb and install new ducts
and piping for the boiler system. We reused every existing radiator in
the home. We even reinstalled plaster and quartered and rift sawn
select Red Oak hardwood flooring.
All of the doors and
windows still had the original hardware, hinges, locks, latches,
screws and locking rods. We detached and labeled every piece in the
entire structure. We then had them all stripped and re-brassed. We
then reinstalled them to their original windows and doors. This saved
the insurance company from having to try to get them matched.
This project put us among the elite in the industry and it is an honor
to be nominated for a 2008 Phoenix Award.
Pipes Break, Church Floods -
Paragon Assists
(KSDK) - A north St. Louis
Church is pumping out water and trying to salvage its facility. At the
Antioch Baptist Church, the sprinkler system froze, broke and flooded
the church. A church custodian arrived Tuesday morning to find more
than two feet of water in the basement. The water also damaged the
church's new sanctuary that's only four years old. It could be
Wednesday before all of the water is out, and it could be weeks before
the church is back to normal.
Bathroom Remodel:
This is a rental property located in north STL. This property, along
with many others in the area, was broken into during the same period.
All copper plumbing was removed by the vandals, causing damages to the
tilework in the bathroom and the vanity. We had to remove/replace the
plumbing throughout the home, all the wall tiles, re-glaze the bathtub
and replace the vanity. |

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL:
Our basement flooded on September
14th and we could not get anyone to help us with the clean out and
repairs. We were put in touch with Paragon through Sandy Vierling
and immediately things started happening. In 2 hours a crew came in
and removed all the old wet carpet, removed the wet drywall and set
up blowers and dehumidifiers. The smell was finally gone and we
could breathe again.
Steve Plant took over with the
estimates and repairs. He worked hard with the insurance company and
started the work immediately after we got approval from Fireman's
Fund. The work crew was extremely courteous and professional. They
looked after our home and family as if it were their own. The punch
list items were handled on the spot and we were back in our basement
within 8 days from starting the work.
I cannot say enough about the
people and the especially the responsiveness of the crew. You never
think about something like this happening to you, but when it does
it can be very traumatic. Thank goodness we found Paragon. We will
recommend you highly to anyone we know who finds themselves in this
dilemma. Please feel free to use Kathy and I anytime if you need a
reference or if we can assist in any way.
Thanks again for a great job done.
